This listing is for tiles alone. To host a game you will also need 4 racks with pushers and a mat, and — for American play — the current National Mah Jongg League card, sold separately by the League. Designer starter kits that bundle everything run roughly $665–$900; buying the pieces separately lands in the same neighbourhood.

Oh My Mahjong is the brand that turned American tiles into a design object, and Talulah is its graceful flagship: layered acrylic with numbered flowers, 10 jokers and 6 blanks so you can play both NMJL hands and the brand's blank-friendly variants. You are paying for the artwork and the layered backs as much as the acrylic — and for most buyers in this tier, that is exactly the point. Budget honestly: racks, a mat and the annual NMJL card are extra.
