Best Riichi mahjong sets
A Riichi set is a precise instrument: 136 tiles (no flowers or seasons), three red fives, a round indicator and scoring sticks. The US market for physical Riichi sets is thin — most players import Japanese brands such as Amos — so the two widely available domestic options matter. Both are Yellow Mountain Imports; they differ in tiles and in looks, not in the game they play.
Yellow Mountain Imports Riichi Set — Black Tiles — Riichi with a distinctive black set
Riichi sets live or die on one detail: the red fives. This 136-tile set is built for Japanese rules — no flowers or seasons taking up space, scoring sticks included, and a black-tile look that stands out in a sea of white sets. It is the affordable, correct way to start playing Riichi at a real table.

Yellow Mountain Imports Riichi Set — White & Yellow — The classic two-tone Riichi look
The white-and-yellow set is the traditional Riichi silhouette — the yellow backs you see in parlour and anime tables alike. Same correct 136-tile game as its black sibling for $2 more; pick on looks and on how the backs read under your lighting.
